Overview

Passalacqua stands on the shore of Lake Como at Moltrasio, a villa built in the 18th century as a private retreat for friends, love and the pleasures of the table. It operates today as a 5 star hotel with personalised service, open through every season: spring blossom on the hillsides, long summer days, and autumn truffles and olive oil on the table.

A pool sits on a garden terrace below the main villa, edged by ancient climbing roses and a bay tree, suited equally to swimming laps and lingering in the water. Guests choose among three suite categories: Villa, Palazz and Casa al Lago, each a room of its own within the property.

Passalacqua's sister property, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, sits on the western shore of Lake Como in an art nouveau villa with views towards Bellagio and the Grigne mountains. The hotel's own story has been told in a book published with Assouline, produced with creative directors Daria Reina and Andrea Ferolla.
