Setsu Niseko sits in Grand Hirafu with 190 suites, six restaurants and a 750 sqm onsen spa, within shuttle reach of the Grand Hirafu gondola.
Setsu Niseko occupies a site in Grand Hirafu, facing both Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri. The hotel holds 190 suites and apartment-style rooms, arranged across seven categories from Studio to Four Bedroom Penthouse, each finished in a Japanese idiom of washi paper, wood and tatami. The design draws on the concept Setsu Getsu Ka, a reference used throughout the property's furnishings and layout.
Six restaurants operate on site. méli mélo is led by Hokkaido-born, Michelin-starred chef Hironori Sato, working with Baristart Coffee's Masaya Ishii. Tempura Araki is the sister restaurant of Sapporo's two-Michelin-star Tempura Araki. Shinonome Niseko, a seven-seat counter, is the first sister restaurant of chef Wataru Nakahara's Sapporo omakase sushi restaurant. AFURI serves its Tokyo yuzu ramen and gyoza, Luke's Alpine Club is a chop house run by Boston-raised chef Travis Masiero, and Lounge Bar by Park90 pours from a list of more than 300 wines. The hotel has held a One MICHELIN Key distinction for three consecutive years.
The wellness centre covers 750 sqm, one of the larger facilities in Grand Hirafu, with separate indoor and outdoor onsen for men and women, private onsen rooms by reservation, Rikka Spa, a gymnasium and the yoga and Pilates studio Studio En. Ski access runs through an on-site Rhythm Japan rental shop, private ski lockers and a continuous shuttle to the Grand Hirafu gondola. New Chitose Airport is around 150 minutes away by road, Sapporo around 120 minutes.
