Overview

Son Bunyola occupies an 810-acre estate on Mallorca's north-west coast, inside the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The estate runs to three miles of unspoilt coastline, with olive groves, vineyards and rugged shoreline around the main house, and sits a 45-minute drive from Palma. At its centre is a 27-room hotel, with three standalone villas, Sa Punta de S'Aguila, Sa Terra Rotja and Son Balagueret, set elsewhere on the property.

Rooms and suites are spread across the main manor house, its annexe, the Tower and the Tafona, each configured differently. Mountain View and Sea View rooms sit in the manor house itself; Deluxe categories add a private terrace or garden; Superior and Deluxe Suites run to 45-70 square metres with sofa beds for families; the Tower rooms, set in the building's turrets, span three floors and open onto a private roof terrace with 360-degree views. At Sa Terrassa, the hotel's restaurant, chef Brenda Lisiotti cooks with produce grown in the estate's own gardens and orchards: organic herbs and vegetables, citrus fruit, olives, almonds and honey from the estate's beehives. The wine list draws on Mallorcan labels and, from spring 2026, the estate's own Malvasia, replanted from vines that produced a respected wine here in the 19th century. Villa guests can arrange a private chef to cook to their own tastes.

A ground-floor spa holds two treatment rooms, including one for couples, with treatments built around Gaia Natural Products, made on the island from local flowers, herbs, salts and oils, and the skincare range Olivier Claire. Yoga and Pilates classes run on the terrace, alongside outdoor personal training, and the estate has added cycling and walking routes through the surrounding mountains.
