Overview

The Oberoi, Marrakech stands twenty five minutes from Marrakech Airport and the old walled city, on the Route de Ouarzazate. The hotel occupies 113,312 square metres of landscaped gardens, citrus orchards and centuries-old olive groves, with views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains from across the property. The architecture draws on Moroccan palace design, and the central courtyard, known as The Patio, takes its reference from the 14th-century Medersa Ben Youssef, one of the city's landmarks. A 120-metre Grand Canal runs through the grounds.

Accommodation is arranged across villas, suites and rooms. The Royal Villa is a two-bedroom residence of 985 square metres with a fountain courtyard and an 11-metre private pool. The Presidential Villa, Deluxe Villa, Family Villa and Premier Villa each pair Moroccan craftsmanship, including hand-painted tiles and sculpted wall panels, with private courtyards and pools ranging from 9 to 11.5 metres in length. The Royal Suite sits on the first floor with a 10-metre heated pool and mountain views, while the Deluxe Room opens onto a private terrace facing the Atlas Mountains, the orchards and the Grand Canal.

Dining runs across Tamimt for international cuisine, Rivayat for Indian dishes developed with Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai, and Azur for light meals beside the pool and canal. Vue serves wines, Champagnes and cocktails against mountain views. The Oberoi Spa sits beside a natural water body surrounded by olive and citrus trees, with private suites for Western and Moroccan rituals, hammams and herbal treatments. The hotel also has a 30-metre outdoor pool, a 20-metre indoor pool, a fitness centre and a children's activity area. Experiences on offer include a private barbeque, a helicopter flight over the Sahara with a camel-borne lunch, a hot-air balloon breakfast, a vintage sidecar tour of the Medina, and a Moroccan cooking class.
