Overview

In the centre of Zermatt, THE OMNIA occupies a rock outcrop at 1600 metres above sea level. The Matterhorn, the village or the Alpine backyard behind the hotel appear from different rooms and balconies, depending on which side of the building a guest is placed.

The interiors pair twentieth century design classics with one-of-a-kind fixtures made in Valais. Rooms are filled with light, lined by balconies and hung with photographic wall art. Some have open fireplaces, oriel bay window bathtubs, cedar tubs or a private sauna. Because of this design and the building's structure, dogs and other pets are not admitted anywhere on the property.

The wellness centre is reserved for hotel guests, with treatments using Aesop and Farfalla products. In the kitchen, Executive Chef Markian Barmettler has worked since May 2026 with produce from the surrounding alpine region, serving a seasonal menu across the restaurant, lounge and terrace, and through in-room dining. THE OMNIA closes for part of each year; in 2026 the break runs from 26 October to 26 November.
