Overview

1955 Tokyo Bay stands in Urayasu, Chiba, on a 2.1882-hectare plot facing Tokyo Bay. The hotel takes its name and much of its decor from 1955, the year Disneyland first opened in the United States, and its public areas borrow from the diners and motor courts of that period. A free shuttle runs to Tokyo Disney Resort, a journey of about 30 minutes, and another shuttle connects to Shin-Urayasu Station. The hotel also has direct bus links to Haneda and Narita airports and is 20 minutes by train from Tokyo Station.

The hotel has 638 rooms in a single building, with occupancy from one to six guests per room. Guests remove their shoes on entering, and each room has a bathroom with a separate washing area. A lounge is open from before check-in until after check-out, with light snacks available throughout the day. Check-in runs from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Families travelling with small children can borrow kids' and baby goods, and bed-sharing is offered for children under seven sharing with an adult.

Breakfast is served in a restaurant with a view over Tokyo Bay, a buffet of more than 100 Japanese and Western dishes between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, with a Reuben sandwich and French toast cooked to order. In the evening, a cafeteria serves ramen, ochazuke and deli-style dishes à la carte from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and a self-service Food & Drink Station is open around the clock. The hotel also has a spa and massage service, a pool, an onsen and a public bath, a playroom, a meeting room, a convenience store on the ground floor and a coin laundry with ten washing machines and driers. Parking costs 500 yen per 12 hours with re-entry permitted, and EV charging points are available 24 hours a day.
