Hotel · Tokyo, Japan
A hotel on the top floors of the Otemachi Tower, pairing ryokan-style suites and an Aman Spa with direct access to Tokyo's Otemachi subway station.
Overview
Aman Tokyo occupies the top floors of the Otemachi Tower, above the Otemachi district and close to the Imperial Palace Gardens. The hotel connects directly to Otemachi subway station, a five-line interchange, and sits a five-minute drive from Tokyo Station and its bullet train network. Haneda Airport is a 40-minute drive away; Narita Airport, a 60-minute drive.
The design draws throughout on Japanese tradition: ikebana displays, washi paper doors and engawa platforms run through a lobby, ryokan-style rooms and an Aman Spa, each among the largest of their kind in Tokyo. Suites are finished with floor-to-ceiling windows, shoji sliding doors and traditional stone furo baths, their king-bed and sunken living areas overlooking the city. The Signature Suites, the hotel's largest, separate living, dining and sleeping into distinct spaces: City Suites start at 121 square metres, while the Aman Suite extends to 157 square metres with views over the Tokyo skyline.
Musashi by Aman serves omakase sushi in the Edomae tradition from a hinoki cypress counter, prepared by master chef Musashi. The Aman Spa includes onsen-style hot baths, steam rooms, a 30-metre pool with panoramic city views, and dedicated yoga and Pilates studios. Aman Tokyo forms part of a circuit of three Aman properties in Japan, together with Amanemu in Ise-Shima and Aman Kyoto, allowing a stay in the capital to be combined with time further afield.
