Hotel · Amalfi Coast, Italy
Borgo Santandrea sits 90 metres above the sea at Conca dei Marini, a few minutes from Amalfi, with 31 rooms, 21 suites and a private beach club set inside a 19th-century fishermen's boathouse.
Borgo Santandrea stands above Conca dei Marini, a fishing village on the Amalfi Coast, a few minutes from Amalfi itself. The hotel is built into the cliff 90 metres above the Mediterranean, with its 31 rooms and 21 suites positioned between 50 and 79 metres above sea level, each facing the water. Mediterranean-style gardens and terraces run down through the property, connecting the rooms to the private beach club below.
The interiors draw on Italian artisanal traditions set against mid-century design: handmade tiles, bespoke furniture, antiques, burnished brass, local stone and natural linen appear throughout the rooms and suites. Dining is overseen by Chef Crescenzo Scotti, with Marinella Restaurant and the beachfront AQVA Restaurant covering lunch and dinner, Alici serving breakfast from an open kitchen until 11.30am, and Plumbago Bar, positioned at the highest point of the property, open from midday to midnight. A wine cellar is also part of the offer.
At sea level, the private Marinella Beach includes a beach club built inside a 19th-century fishermen's boathouse once used to store nets and fishing gear, along with a jetty. Inland, the Wellness Retreat in Conca dei Marini has a sea-facing gym fitted with Technogym equipment, three treatment cabins, an emotional shower and a panoramic outdoor treatment terrace, with scheduled yoga sessions and a personal trainer available to guests.
