Hotel · Saint-Tropez, France
A Belle Époque palace on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, reached from the port by a guaranteed eight-minute private boat transfer.
COMO Le Beauvallon stands on a ten-acre estate between the hills of Grimaud and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, reached from the port by a complimentary, guaranteed eight-minute boat transfer to its own private pontoon. The property first opened in 1914 as Le Golf Hôtel, a hundred-room Belle Époque palace designed by the Swiss architect Julien Flengenheimer for the Bernheim brothers. It was requisitioned as a military hospital during both World Wars, restored each time, and later hosted guests including Colette, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Winston Churchill and the poet Paul Géraldy. In the 1960s it appeared in the film Two for the Road with Audrey Hepburn and in the television series The Troops of Saint-Tropez. After years as an exclusive-use events venue, the hotel reopened to guests in 2025.
The hotel has 42 rooms, including sea-facing suites such as the COMO Suite, set within gardens shaded by palms and umbrella pines around a 25-metre pool. Dining centres on Beauvallon Sur Mer by Yannick Alléno, the chef's signature restaurant designed by Dorothée Delaye, due to open alongside the hotel in April 2026 and serving Mediterranean dishes with Asian influences. Guests can also eat at La Rotonde Lounge and Rooftop, the Winter Garden, and at the adjoining Beauvallon Sur Mer beach club, which has its own pool, sandy area and seasonal menu. Wellness facilities include a COMO Shambhala Retreat with two treatment rooms, a dedicated yoga and meditation studio with scheduled classes, and a gym, alongside COMO Shambhala Cuisine on the in-room and Winter Garden menus.
The grounds display more than 300 art installations, among them the 2002 Serpentine Gallery Summer Pavilion by Toyo Ito. Guests can arrange golf at the Beauvallon fairways or in Sainte-Maxime, private yacht charters, wine tours of nearby vineyards, watersports, tennis and padel, and helicopter flights from the hotel's own helipad. The hotel also hosts weddings, birthday parties and corporate events, and offers babysitting and a children's playroom for younger guests. Nice airport is ninety minutes away by car or twenty minutes by helicopter.
