COMO Metropolitan Singapore sits on Bideford Road, inside COMO Orchard, a 19-floor building that brings together COMO Group's hotel, retail, dining and wellness brands under one roof. The opening marks COMO's first hotel in its home market of Singapore. Its 156 rooms and suites are fitted with SleepHub technology, a device designed to support sleep through low-frequency sound waves, and rooms are noted for natural light and city views.
Dining runs through several concepts within the building. COTE Singapore, a Korean steakhouse from chef Simon Kim, who has earned Michelin stars for his restaurants in New York and Miami, sits alongside COMO Cuisine's all-day international menu and the lighter COMO Shambhala Kitchen. Cédric Grolet, the French pastry chef, has opened his first patisserie in Asia here. A rooftop pool bar on Level 19 opens daily from 10am to 7pm, overlooking Orchard Road, and the Lobby Lounge, designed with Atelier Ikebuchi, OTTO Studio, Thomas Hilland and Modellus Novus, serves small plates and coffee.
COMO Shambhala Singapore, the wellness brand's flagship, occupies the fourth floor in 9,000 square feet of space designed by Paola Navone. It holds one double and two single treatment rooms, thermal suites with red light, contrast and oxygen therapy, two yoga studios, two Pilates studios and a 1,500 square foot gym fitted with more than 20 types of strength and functional equipment, including Eleiko weightlifting kit. Club 21 occupies dedicated retail spaces within COMO Orchard, carrying labels including Alaïa, Amiri, Marine Serre, Simone Rocha, Thom Browne and Tom Wood. Suite guests receive a complimentary cocktail at COTE Korean Steakhouse, and every room comes with a SleepHub, an in-room yoga mat with meditation videos, and coffee from a robot barista named Bruno.
