Hotel · Barcelona, Spain
A beachfront hotel in Barcelona's Port Olímpic district, with two outdoor pools, a Michelin two-star restaurant and rooms that look toward the Mediterranean or the city skyline.
Overview
Hotel Arts Barcelona stands at Marina 19-21, in the Port Olímpic area between the beachfront and the city's cultural quarter. The hotel combines a city address with direct access to the Mediterranean shoreline, and rooms are arranged so that windows frame either the sea or Barcelona's skyline, with views that can take in landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia. Guest rooms and suites are grouped into named categories, Panorama, Seascape, Landscape and Scenic, each built around large windows and separate areas for work and rest.
The hotel's restaurants range from casual to formal. Bites & Sips serves coffee and light dishes, Gehry offers a continental breakfast buffet (currently relocated during renovation work), Marina Coastal Food serves Mediterranean coastal cuisine with sea views, and Enoteca Paco Pérez, chef Paco Pérez's two Michelin-starred restaurant, serves dishes built from seasonal ingredients drawn from the sea, garden and mountains. Outside, two outdoor pools sit within landscaped gardens: a Family Pool open to all ages, and the adults-only Gehry Pool, an infinity pool overlooked by Frank Gehry's Peix sculpture, with the Mediterranean and the city's coastal skyline as backdrop. Arts Wellness, the hotel's spa, is on the fourth floor, and guests booked into Club-level rooms have access to the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, open daily from 7am to 11pm.
The hotel is in the final phase of a multi-year renovation programme, running through June 2027, during which some indoor and outdoor spaces face temporary or partial closure. Hotel Arts Barcelona holds BREEAM 5* Excellence and Biosphere certification, sources its energy entirely from renewable supply, and runs a water recovery system that redirects condensation from its air conditioning units to a central reservoir. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by noon; the minimum age to check in is 18. Pets are not permitted. On-site parking costs €10 per hour or €60.50 per day, with valet parking also priced at €60.50 per day. Barcelona-El Prat Airport is around 20 kilometres away; the hotel does not run an airport shuttle, though a private car service is available for a fee.
