Overview

Monument Hotel occupies a pre-modernist mansion on Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona's principal shopping avenue, directly across from Antoni Gaudí's Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera. Casa Batlló is a five-minute walk away, Las Ramblas another five minutes, and the Sagrada Família around fifteen minutes on foot. The hotel sits in the Eixample district, close to Gràcia and Avinguda Diagonal.

The hotel has 84 rooms and suites, ranging from the 25 to 30 square metre Deluxe rooms to the 130 square metre Penthouse Suite. Several categories look over Paseig de Gràcia itself, others onto a quieter Eixample courtyard or Mallorca street. Rooms are finished with exposed brickwork, oak flooring and bespoke furniture in dark brown tones, with Egyptian cotton bedding and goose-feather duvets throughout. Dining is anchored by Lasarte Restaurant, which holds three Michelin stars, alongside BERA by Martín Berasategui, the Verbena Terrace, Glasss Restaurant and a Sunday brunch called Yummy Sundays.

On the sixth floor, a Mediterranean-inspired rooftop terrace and open-air pool look directly onto La Pedrera. The Wellness Studio offers facial treatments, body massages and Mediterranean rituals, including a Kobido facial massage, with its own product line sold in the Wellness Boutique. It opens Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 7pm, Saturday from 3pm to 7pm and Sunday from midday to 7pm.
