Overview

Il Salviatino is a 15th-century villa in the hills of Fiesole, a few minutes from central Florence. The property holds 39 rooms and suites, divided into Rooms, Suites and Grand Suites, each individually designed by owner and creative director Alessandra Rovati Vitali, blending historic architectural details with mid-century and contemporary furnishings. Rooms overlook either the Florentine skyline and its historic monuments, or the villa's park, gardens and the Tuscan countryside.

Dining centres on Da Giacomo al Salviatino, a restaurant linked to Milan's Giacomo, established in 1958, serving seafood and meat dishes drawn from Tuscan produce on a panoramic terrace and inside the Sala Alfresco. The Rosa Bar serves cocktails and aperitivi in the villa in the evening, while the Pool Bar offers drinks and light dishes by day, set beside Michelangelo Pistoletto's art installation 'Terzo Paradiso'. Breakfast is served in the garden, on the terrace facing the Duomo, in the library room or in the Sala Alfresco. Wellbeing facilities include the Aquae Vitali Spa, housed in the villa's former greenhouse, offering massages, facials using Augustinus Bader skincare, and water therapies including a Vichy shower, infrared sauna, hammam, steam room, traditional sauna, heated plunge pool and ice bath. A private wet area, Area Aquae, can be booked for individuals, couples or groups of up to six guests for 60-minute sessions inspired by Etruscan bathing rituals.

Beyond the villa, the property arranges private experiences in Florence and Tuscany, including private art tours, shopping introductions to local ateliers, meetings with local producers and private guided walks through the historic centre. The villa's spaces, including views toward the Duomo, are also available for private hire for celebrations.
