Overview

Jumeirah Olhahali Island sits on a secluded natural island in the Maldives, fifty-five minutes by speedboat from Malé. The resort is built entirely of villas, a design chosen to echo Olhahali's history as a gathering place, and the pace of a stay is left largely to the guest: private time, shared time, and experiences arranged by the resort's hosts.

Dining runs across five venues. GLOW serves breakfast, Shimmers is a beachfront restaurant with Greek and Mediterranean dishes, and Kayto, an award-winning restaurant, serves Nikkei food in a garden setting that blends Japanese and Peruvian technique. Café Lounge is set up for coffee and light bites, while Destination Dining arranges private picnics in secluded spots around the island.

Talise Spa is built over the water, with horizon-facing treatment rooms and a menu of massages and rituals. The island's experience programme covers diving and watersports, a private yacht charter, beachside tennis played under lights, a clay-working session called Mud Lab, a semi-submarine outing, and a children's activity area called A World for Young Explorers. The resort also runs a four-day Curated Collection programme for families, called Journey of Togetherness, and houses an art studio named Muraca after the Dhivehi word for coral.
