Maçakızı occupies a stretch of the Bodrum peninsula in Türkbükü, pairing a Michelin-starred restaurant with garden and sea view rooms.
Maçakızı sits in Türkbükü, a village in Göltürkbükü on the north side of the Bodrum peninsula. The hotel was founded by Ayla Emiroğlu, one of the entrepreneurs who, from the 1970s, helped establish Bodrum's reputation beyond its role as the site of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the World built under Artemisia II, whose city dates back to the fourth century BC.
The hotel lists eleven named accommodation categories, from Standard and Renovated Garden Rooms and Sea View Rooms, through Garden View and Sea View Junior Suites and Sea View Suites, to a 2-Bedroom Duplex Villa, a 2-Bedroom Villa Suite and the standalone Villa Maçakızı. Dining is spread across four venues: Maçakızı Restaurant, which holds one Michelin star under Executive Chef Aret Sahakyan and draws on the hotel's own Maçakızı Culinary Gardens; CafeMed; Ayla by Aret Sahakyan; and a beach venue. Maçakızı Restaurant has served Mediterranean cuisine for over two decades, with lunch from 12.30pm to 4pm, a buffet from 1.30pm to 4pm, and dinner from 7pm to 11.30pm.
Milas-Bodrum Airport is 40 km away, downtown Bodrum 22 km, and Muğla 138 km. The hotel is within a three-hour drive of İzmir and Dalaman airports and close to the Greek islands of Patmos and Kos. Round-trip transportation to and from the hotel is included with every booking, a Primeclass Meet & Greet Service is available at Bodrum Milas Airport, and private car services can be arranged for an additional fee.
