Overview
Faru Faru sits along the Grumeti River in Singita's 350,000-acre private reserve in northern Tanzania, in front of a waterhole that draws wildlife throughout the day. The lodge is built from wood, rock and stone, materials chosen to echo the surrounding landscape, and the bedroom suites have oversized windows that bring the bush into view from inside.
Two pools sit at the heart of the main lodge area, positioned so that game viewing continues from a sun lounger. The lodge's private villa suite has its own infinity pool. A café-style bar, vast outdoor decks and multiple airy enclaves provide spaces for dining and drinks, spilling over to a firepit for evenings under the sky.
Activities on offer include game drives, guided safari walks, hot air balloon safaris, bird-watching, wine experiences, community visits and a visit to an anti-poaching observation post, alongside a fitness centre and a boutique and gallery. Faru Faru is part of the Singita Grumeti Reserve, where the non-profit Grumeti Fund carries out wildlife conservation and community development, including the 2019 reintroduction of nine Eastern Black Rhino.
