Overview
Cadenabbia sits on the western shore of Lake Como, facing the Bellagio promontory, and this is where The Lake Como EDITION occupies a 19th-century palazzo reworked with contemporary interiors. The hotel has 148 guest rooms, including 24 suites, two penthouses and one private Villa. Rooms are finished in European white oak floors, ivory plaster walls and Calacatta Turquoise marble, with Italian linens, custom furnishings and marble bathrooms fitted with fluted glass and Le Labo amenities. Some rooms open onto restored French balconies facing the lake, the Bellagio promontory and the surrounding peaks. Suites add bespoke furniture by Neri&Hu, custom wool carpets and tailored white oak millwork, with double vanities in the bathrooms and, in the penthouses, deep soaking tubs and Calacatta marble finishes.
Dining is anchored by Cetino, chef Mauro Colagreco's first restaurant in Italy, open for dinner from 6pm to 10pm and built around hyper-seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Renzo serves breakfast, lunch and dinner through the day in a room that opens onto a pergola-shaded terrace planted with Mediterranean herbs and citrus trees, while the Lobby Bar operates under five-metre vaulted ceilings with celadon marble and rose plaster. The Pool serves Mediterranean-leaning food for sharing from 9am to 6pm, moving into aperitivo as the afternoon turns to evening.
The Longevity Spa, described as the first of its kind on Lake Como, works from an initial assessment covering sleep, inflammation and oxidative stress to build a personalised programme. It has seven treatment rooms, an indoor vitality pool with floor-to-ceiling lake views, a steam bath, a herbal sauna, a plunge pool and outdoor terraces, with access restricted to guests aged 18 and over. A 150 sqm gym with Technogym equipment is open around the clock, and personal training, yoga and Pilates can be arranged on request. Outside, the hotel has a floating pool and a private dock on the lake. The hotel is at Via Regina 41, Cadenabbia, in the comune of Griante, Como.
