Overview

The Madrid EDITION occupies a square close to Puerta del Sol, one of the city's best known points, and within walking distance of the Golden Triangle of Art, home to three of Madrid's principal museums. The hotel has 200 guest rooms and suites, made up of 177 guest rooms, 21 suites and two penthouses, with interiors by Ian Schrager. Many rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows looking towards the Royal Palace, the Almudena cathedral or Gran Vía, and the suites add separate living and sleeping areas, with some looking onto Descalzas Square and options to connect rooms. Seventy-seven rooms interconnect, a practical detail for families and groups of up to eight guests.

Food and drink runs across five outlets. Oroya, on the fourth floor, is run by Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz and serves family-style sharing plates alongside pisco-led cocktails; its bar has won at the Top Cocktail Bars Awards for three consecutive years, including 2024. Its terrace, The Roof, has a fireplace and a vine-covered pergola and operates as an outdoor garden by day and night. Scarpetta serves Italian food, MISTICA at EDITION is a nightclub with a DJ lineup, Punch Room is a small cocktail bar built around punch service, and the Lobby Bar has a marble pool table and a copper bar. The rooftop terrace also holds an outdoor infinity pool with sunbeds and cabanas, served by a pool bar. The Spa has a Finnish dry sauna, a steam room, a relaxation lounge, three treatment rooms and two suites for two, with treatments built around Natura Bissé products, plus a 24-hour gym.

For meetings, the hotel has three studios, a boardroom and a ballroom, together covering more than 350 sqm. The All-Day Dining restaurant measures 381.41 m² and seats 273 guests. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out by 12:00 PM, and valet parking is available at the hotel. The Madrid EDITION is the second EDITION hotel in Spain, following The Barcelona EDITION, which opened in 2018.
