Overview

The Oberoi Rajvilas sits on Goner Road, ten kilometres from central Jaipur, within 32 acres of landscaped garden built around reflection pools and courtyards in traditional Rajasthani style. Accommodation is arranged across villas, rooms and canopied tents, the tents designed in the spirit of the camps once used by travelling Maharajas. A 308 year old Shiva temple stands within the garden, and the grounds include a tennis court and electric vehicle charging points.

Dining centres on Surya Mahal, the resort's main restaurant, serving Indian and international cuisine from 7am to 10:30pm beneath a crystal chandelier, with an al fresco courtyard used after dark. The Rajwada Library Bar, open from 5pm to 11pm, is furnished with leather-bound books and lithographs of former Maharajas, and keeps a chess and backgammon set for guests. Asmi by Oberoi, the resort's spa, is built around five pillars: movement, nutrition, bodywork, breathwork and mindfulness, and is reserved for resident guests. A 21 metre temperature-controlled pool, lit at night by mashaal torches and flanked by elephant-shaped fountains, and a 24 hour fitness centre complete the wellness facilities. Guests can also arrange a half-day leopard safari at Jhalana, a wine tasting with the resident sommelier, or a cooking session with an Oberoi chef.

Jaipur Airport is 15 kilometres away, around a 30 minute drive. Agra is 230 kilometres, roughly four hours by car, and Delhi is 250 kilometres, close to five hours, placing the resort within reach of the Golden Triangle route that links the three cities.
