Overview

Zamara Private sits on the northern edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a six-suite villa built for family and small group safaris. The design follows Wabi Sabi principles, built around stillness and natural materials, with grass-planted roofs that settle into the surrounding land. A dedicated guide and chef work with each group throughout the stay.

The villa's lounge opens onto a broad deck above the reserve, with a rooftop terrace and landscaped lawn used for breakfasts, stargazing and dinners beneath the sky. Dining follows a plant-rich menu drawing on local ingredients, paired with a dedicated wine room. Outside, a 15-by-5-metre infinity pool sits alongside a wellness area with a gym, sauna and steam rooms, plus an on-site spa.

Each of the six suites includes a private outdoor deck, overhead fans, air conditioning and an open-air shower. The villa holds two Master Suites and four Stand-Alone Guest Suites, accommodating up to 12 guests on a private-use basis; one Master Suite can be combined with a nearby suite to form a two-bedroom family configuration. Up to 16 guests can stay when children are included, with children aged six and over welcome. Game drives run daily in open 4x4 vehicles into the Maasai Mara, with a sunrise hot air balloon safari available at additional cost.
